Love is an epic adventure

HOUSTON BASED ELOPEMENT AND PORTAIT PHOTOGRAPHER

So you’ve decided to elope, or maybe you’re still thinking about it. You’re here because you’re looking for a photographer that gets you and understands what eloping is about. As someone who’s eloped as well, I have a passion for documenting that for others. I believe that the union between two people should come as easy as their love for one another and be a true celebration of themselves, free from any outside influence. Whether I’m photographing couples or shooting a portrait session, my approach is more about guiding my clients rather than posing them. And while I am Houston based, I am just as comfortable photographing portraits, engagements and elopements on Main Street as I am at the rocky formation known as the “Light House” in Palo Duro Canyon.

About Me

Nghia Tran, Houston Elopement Photographer

Hey, I’m Nghia Tran! I wasn't born in Texas, but I got here as fast as I could. I picked up a camera at the age of 16 to chronicle my travels, and what started as a hobby quickly turned into a passion. Photographing each new location forces me to slow down and really take in my surroundings - much to the annoyance of my friends, though they don't complain when they get their shots! Traveling and photographing a wide range of subjects have helped me to refine my skills in all types of lighting situations. I am also comfortable photographing portraits and headshots in a studio session or outside. I respect the outdoors and practice leave no trace principals, this ensures that the next couple or outdoor enthusiast can enjoy the land just as much as we will.

In 2016 I traveled to Glacier National Park for the first time. It became my favorite park to date. I backpacked there for a week with a group of my friends and decided that I wanted to get married there. I don’t think anyone took me seriously. Lucky for me, a met a beautiful woman that shared my love for the outdoors. A couple years later I wed the woman of my dreams on the banks of Lake McDonald. Eloping was one of the best decisions we ever made.

What can you expect from me? No pressure, no rush, lots of fun and my full dedication to you throughout the entire process. I truly want to get to know you and to help you have the most amazing wedding day experience that is meaningful to you! I feel that developing a relationship with my clients is the best way to get them to be themselves in front of the camera. So hit that button below and let’s get to know each other!
